Chinchero, Maras, Moray & Salt Mines.
We are going to pick you up at your hotel or another to any another place that you want at 8.00 am and then drive towards the beautiful and amazing Sacred Valley of the Inkas. It’s gonna take about 40 minutes in order to arrive to our first stop Chinchero that are a beautiful textile town. Chinchero is a small inka living town where you will explore the inka archaeological site of chinchero with it many farming terraces which the Inkas used to farm potatoes, quinua, quiwicha and another products. after this we will visit the catholic church which has amazing paintings from the 16th Century painted by the andean painters and at the same time we will explicate to you another historical events. Once you have left the Church and the main plaza. Before leave this town we’ll go to visit the tradicional textile area and at the same times you can buy some typical alpaca and vicuña textiles. However, After that we are going to keep driving to Moray inka site which is a circular archaeological site where the inkas used to experimente different types of products and this is the perfect place in order to understand the inkas technology. then few more minutes driving we will arrive to moras town where you can try chicha (corn beer) and see how the people living by this areas and just right there is the salt mine is maras where are a over than 3100 pools of salt and of course that our tour guide is gonna explain us how this people processing the salt in order to export and how the inkas used to live from this salt because this salt mines has couples thousands years and all of this information thanks to the evidences. After this is time to come back to Cusco city or if you want we can drop you off in the sacred valley from where you could go to Machu Picchu or enjoy another amazing archaeological sites and landscapes with nature that there are in all of this Valley.
Altitude sickness
It’s common start to wondering about altitude sickness if you thinking to come to Peru, specially in Cusco. however, It’s easy to figure out this problem. You just need to spend few days in Cusco drinking plenty water and coca tea.
This is the high altitude symptom
headache, tiredness, dizziness, nauseas, tingling, loss of appetite, trouble sleeping, vomiting. Please, If you feel any of this problem contact with our company or call a doctor in order to helping you. but, this symptom usually are gonna be temporal just you need to drink plenty water and coca tea. However, some times our customer prefers pills and in that way we suggest you have a (acetazolamide or dexamethasone) and come few days before to Cusco.
Weather
In general, the weather here in the andes is unpredictable and that is the way why we suggest to our customers have to be ready for rainy or sunny day. although, if you have waterproof clothes for sure it’s gonna helping us so much.
First aid kid
All of Our mountain guides has their first aid kids and a lot of training in first aid in the mountains and every years they received classes of doctor with the most frequently problems as a (diarrhea, cuts, headache, scrapes,etc.) at the same time they have a oxygen tank in order to helping you to feel much better. However, It’s fine if you thinking to bring your own first aid kid for the trek.
Travel insurance
Always is gonna be good idea to have a travel insurance for your tour or trek and more if you thinking to travel for few weeks or more of one month. Although, for sure you need to have one if you have any serious illness just in case if something happens.
